Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" Ensign
Gerald “Jerry” Ensign, 70, of Tamarac, FL passed away on September 18, 2017. Jerry was born in Rochester, NY and grew up in upstate New York. He spent many years working for Kodak, owned a paint and body shop, and was a licensed Airframe and Power Plant Helicopter Mechanic. Jerry first settled in Ocala, FL and then Coral Springs, FL for 30 years before retiring to Tamarac. A man's man, he was a son, a father, a husband, a grandpa and a friend to many. He worked hard his entire life, and always found a way to get things done. The light and joy of his life were his children and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beatrice; daughter, Darlene Lynn and Jim Howard; grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Alexa, Michael and Danielle; his sisters Barbara Hatem and Carol Wilmarth and his brother, Stephen Ensign. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Ann Ensign in 2015.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service to begin at 4:00 P.M.
